Japanese sunscreens always have the best consistency in my opinion. They are not sticky and comfortable to wear. I’ve always trusted Shiseido’s sunscreens. It started when I was an exchange student in Japan and a Japanese girl introduced me to one of their sunscreens. I tired other brands from but always come back to Shiseido.
The product comes in a liquid consistency that needs to be shaken well before application. The liquid is in light beige color but doesn’t tint your complexion. It feels very light and velvety. It is very easy to apply and you don’t have to be bothered with trying to blend in the white stuff that many sunscreen does. The Shiseido WetForce will instantly melt into to your skin and doesn’t enhance any shine.
In terms of formula, this is a combination sunscreen with both chemical and physical ingredients. I love that it has both zinc oxide and tinatium dioxide. It is formulated for outdoors activities and claimed that the products will be more effective after the applied areas come into contact with sweat or water.
I personally use this as an every day sunscreen because it is scorching hot in Bangkok and I need maximum protection. I must say that I don’t get sun burn with this product. It also doesn’t clog my pores and can be cleansed easily. What I don’t like about it is the alcohol dries out my skin at the end of the day. To solve this problem I apply thicker moisturizer underneath.
Overall I would recommend this sunscreen to those with oily skin who enjoys outdoors activities. For those who have drier skin like me, please layer it with a thicker moisturizer. I hope you enjoy your summer vacation and don’t forget to protect your skin from UV rays!
