Maquia Magazine’s Paul & Joe Agenda 2016 Review

I’m one of those people who sometimes buy a magazine just to get the freebie. Lately I’ve been looking for a planner notebook for the year 2016 and when I stumbled across Maquia magazine at Kinokuniya with a free one, I had to have it. I’m not sure if there’s such thing as agenda spoiler or not but I will be revealing the sections of this schedule notebook for those who are reluctant to get the magazine. This is to help you make your decisions ❤

The agenda notebook has surprisingly good quality, considering it’s just a freebie. It has a sturdy plastic cover. The cover insert is a butterfly print, which you can replace with your own.

The real cover is just a plain white hard paper.

Let’s flip through the pages.

You get 2016 and 2017 calendars with Japanese public holidays.

The next section is a monthly view with a space for to do list. This view started from December 2015.

Then the next section is the weekly view. This view starts from the last week of November 2015. On the left pages are planning space, while on the right are notes space.

Let’s try to the pen testing. I used a gel pen to write on it and found no problem of ink bleeding at all. The pen I used was Mitsubishi Uni-ball Signo.

You can slightly see the ink on the back when using a gel ink pen, but it’s not too noticeable.

Overall I really love this agenda. It’s a perfect size to carry around with you and the paper quality is great. The only down side for me is the spine doesn’t open all the way through. This makes it difficult to write on the first half of the left pages. Also you don’t get that many pages for memo but I don’t use memo page that much any way.

Inside the magazine you also got a free sample of the Sofina Lift Professional serum, and what else, two samples of the Bifesta cleansing gel products!

For the magazine content, on the cover is the beautiful actress, Haruka Ayase. The main theme for this issue is Maquia’s Cosmetic of the Year award announcements. Most of the winners are higher end products but it’s very fun to see. There’re also pages of step-by-step makeup, hair, and skincare tutorials. Some celebrity interviews and bits and bobs in everything about achieving a cute-grown up look.

So, if you need a new planner for 2016 and into Japanese beauty. Be sure to checkout Maquia 1 January 2016 issue.
