RMK UV Face Protector 50 Sunscreen: First Impression

Last Friday I purchased my first product from RMK, a Japanese cosmetic and skincare brand. It is their sunscreen, which I sometimes heard Japanese bloggers talk about. Isetan Bangkok was holding 10% off makeup and skincare products, so I decided to give it a go.

The RMK UV Face Protector 50 is at the same price point as Shiseido Anessa and Kose Sekkisei sunscreens. I’ve only been using it for two day so I cannot tell if it gives me any reactions. My first impressions are:

  • Strong alcohol
  • Doesn’t dry out my dry skin
  • Doesn’t feel sticky
  • No strong scent
  • Easy to apply

So far, I prefer this to the Anessa and the Sekkisei ones. The Anessa one contains artificial scent, which is not a bad scent but I prefer my skincare products to contain no perfume. Sekkisei is too dewy and oily even for my dry skin.

Shiseido and Biore sunscreens also tend to dry out my skin after a few hours of applying, but this RMK sunscreen doesn’t.

The only thing I concern is that the packaging is white and matte material. I’m afraid that it might get dirty easily.

In conclusion, I’m enjoying this sunscreen and looking forward to try more stuff from RMK. I will report back later after I used it for a month or so!
