Recent Disappointing Products

It’s officially summer in Bangkok. Today was around 40 Celsius and the sun was burning. My skin gets tanned quite easily, but if it gets too tanned then it looks pretty damaged. Currently I’ve been feeling like I don’t take well enough care of my body skin so it looks a bit too tan. I’ve decided to reach out for some whitening products here but turned out I don’t like them that much.

The first one I wanted to mention is Biore Sarasara UV Anti-Pollution Body Care Serum SPF50+ PA+++ intensive White with Vitamin B3 & Yuzu Orange. Lord! that takes a whole 1.5 lines for just a product name!  So, originally I thought it was a good idea to have a specific body sunscreen and it also contains Vitamin B3 which helps exfoliate the skin and Yuzu orange is a nice scent. The product has a light lotion consistency and not sticky at all. However, what I didn’t like about this product is the scent. It doesn’t smell anything like yuzu at all. Instead, it’s just smells so chemical and it’s quite a strong smell I’m sure people sitting next to me could smell it.

The last product is the Vaseline Healthy White Instant Fair Serum. The name says it’s a serum, but I would say it’s a body lotion. Again, the consistency is great. It’s not sticky and absorbs quickly, which is perfect for summer. What disappointed me was it claims to instantly brightens dark spots on the first use, which I see no such thing happen. The lotion has a pink tint to it, which might helps to blur out some spot, but not on my skin. Instead, it leaves some pink stains on my pajamas.

I’m currently looking for a new body sunscreen, and will just use the Biore one only when I’m at home and don’t have to meet people. For the Vaseline one, I will keep using it but will just let it fully absorbs before putting on pajamas. The final verdict is I won’t be repurchasing these two again 😦
